  1. Nothing in Houston? I got hooked on Taido when I lived in Japan from 97 to 98. I only practiced it for 2 – 3 months, but fell in love.
Now I live in Houston and want to take up this martial art. Please Help!

    1. Unfortunately, we don’t have a school in Houston, and I don’t think we even have any former students living in that area anymore.

Where were you in Japan and who taught you? It’s always great to hear from people who have enjoyed Taido – even if just for a short time.

  2. Hey there! I know it’s an old thread, but I’ve recently come across Taido, and having significant experience in Korean martial arts as well as Capoeira, I’m very sincerely drawn to this art. It seems to perfectly combine most of the things I value in martial arts. Do you know of any instructors in the New England area?

    1. Hey Bruno, it’s cool that you’re interested in Taido. There’s definitely some similarities to movements in Capoeira. I wish I had better news for you, but right now, nobody who can teach Taido is living in New England.

      1. Ah yeah, that’s what the Googles were telling me. Time to start trying to convince my wife and 2 kids to move to Georgia… much easier with -25 degree weather! Thanks for your reply.
